need help, did a tune up, car was running bad, now wont start
alright, i searched, read and now i'm even more lost then before. this is my first rotary but i've always done my own work to my cars, esp easy maintance. its a 93 rx7. did a tune up consisting of:
-changed oil and tranny fluid
-changed the spark plugs and wires
-deleted ast.
put the car back together and it was running really rough, wouldn't boost and would stall unless i gave it gas at idle, i went through and double checked everything, throtle body gasket broke taking it back apart so i overnight one and put it back together, still ran awful, was doing the same thing. so today for a third time i took it apart and put it back together, it seemed to be finally running better so i wanted to drive it around my street to see if it was running better, it was idling low though, and stalled and now it wont start, it will crank but it never kicks over. i've checked all the vacuum lines over and over and can't find any that came off, the add coolant light has came on but ive been adding coolant and my overflow bottle is full. the car has had a check engine light on even before i did the tune up and code 45 (5 short flashes then 4 long ones) solenoid valve charge control. but that was on before and the car ran fine. any help would be appreciated, i was gonna just put in the old spark plugs and wires next to see if maybe i had bad wires but now i can't get the car to even turn over.
thanks for any help.

Easy things to check -
- Make sure you got the order of the spark plugs right. Remember, Leading is Lower, Trailing is Top. #1 rotor is at the front of the car, #2 rotor at the back. The coils are labeled, L1 goes to Leading 1, T1 goes to Trailing 1, etc. If any of those wires are mixed up, you'll have all sorts of weirdness.
- Make sure the vacuum line to the MAP sensor didn't get bumped off. If it's off, the car will run HORRIBLY.
- Like Zack said, what plugs did you run? On a stock/near stock car, the NGK BUR7EQ and BUR9EQ's are the ones to run. They may have a "P" at the end of the name for platinums - the non-platinums run fine, just don't last as long, so you're OK if you have the non-plats.
- Pull the codes from the ECU, super easy to do with a jumper wire. If the ECU isn't seeing any of the major sensors, it will let you know.
Good luck!

map is right next to the intake elbow, little black box with a tube on the bottom and a plug on the side. I would be willing to bet its that or the plug wires got switched around. ^ daleclark has got it down
