Aluminum conducts elect. but i think it should go to frame and then the engine block.

currently it is going on the frame as you can see plus that also keeps the battery from slipping left and right. I tried ground under as well and nothing, same thing. Just wish i was more mechanically inclined to see where the issue could be. I hate to tow it again to A-Spec Tuning in Schaumburg IL cause i know it will sit there again for at least 6 weeks. Thats where all my upgrades and fixes went to.

No!!!! Spend $10.00 at harbor freight for a electrical tester and give us some facts to work with. I will try and help talk you through how to use it and what to test but why would you think the starter would cause the lights not to work. They will work with no engine. Just trying to help.

my lights do not work, no power at all, none of any kind. normally when you put the pos and neg on the battery there should be a small painless spark right? there are none. its like there is not a full circuit connection. ok, ill go buy a tester and go from there. cool, thank you

Guaranteed longer service life - With an eight to twelve year design life (float) and a three to ten year service life, ODYSSEY saves you time and money because you do not have to replace the battery as often. ODYSSEY is warranted against factory defects for two full years in powersports, three full years in automotive, commerciall and heavy duty marine applications and, in the case of PC1500/34, PC1500/34M, PC1500/34-78, PC1700/65, PC2150/31 and PC2250 batteries, four years in all applications.

from there web site.

Well when you figure out how to test for volts d/c current tell us how many volts the battery shows. Thats with tester set to d/c volts and touch the blk com lead to grnd and red volts lead to red. And the answer is?

ok, know i know why i'm not getting power. i put the car on 2 jacks and went up. a connection to the starter was chewed up.i lost my cat for a day a while ago and it was hiding in the garage. i assume thats what got the cable chewed up. it wasn't hanging u pretty much had to trace the wire but curious how it got up in there and got out of it. DAMN CAT!!!!ok Odyssey battery i replaced it 2 times in 2 years n on my 3rd.can the alternator mess up the battery?? i dont think its charging right or its just draining. the alternator is about 400 miles old. oh. another issue i got. after driving for about 15 minutes or so the car overheats, i found one fan was melted completely off and the other was dangling. yeah sucks. also i hear like the sound of boiling water on the lower left corner of the engine.does that mean the water pump has gone n need replacing?? Now why is it after one issue gets resolved another issues takes its place? or is that just me??

you dont want to run the car hot at all.
the boiling sound is probably coming from the overflow bottle.

if your fans were burnt up you need to replace them before driving the car.

and btw its not you its the car mine tends to throw temper tantrum now and then.

Does that mean you tested the battery and it was showing no charge? And listen to bryant or you will have much bigger problems. My odessey goes dead every 1 1/2 weeks thats why i use a float charger and now there is no problems. let us know!

yeah there was .001 on the battery and a 16.2 on my Jeep battery. i have a jump start kit now, the one you can put in your car and is like a battery with 2 cables coming out if them, one pos and i neg so that you can jump start it. so you guys think its cause of no fan thats overheating and not a water pump issue? i have a dual fan on my radiator n can not remove the fans alone cause of the metal tube blocking it from coming out. is there a better way to remove the fans?

Sounds cheap and not a fan but i got one from harbor frieght for $7.00 and so far its working great. At that price everyone can have one. I have a digital computer battery charger but with the float charge i havent needed it. As to the fans its so important that they work well you might need to pay a profesionel, there is too many ways to ruin an engine and fans not working is high on the list!

ok. so far you guys r great. just ordered a charger from harbor, thanks. Now last issue i hope. boy. Now im wondering if i should have gotten that 05 BMW M3 new instead of this. My coolant light & sound kicked on just after i started the car for 10 seconds if that then i shut it. i looked at my coolant reservoir and it was full then i opened the radiator cap and saw it was empty. so i filled it, then left the garage. when i came back 30 minutes later i almost slipped cause the coolant was all over the floor but the reservoir was still full. do you think there is a hole in the radiator or a loose plug or something??

check all the coolant hoses. A leak that big should be pretty easy to find.

Dont give up now your just getting started!! If you need to put the car up on jack stands and remove under tray it will make it easier to see were the leak is comming from, and fix the fans!!!! Good luck.
