VA Need advice

I don't know if this is the proper spot to ask this but the classified section didn't look right either. I have a 93 stock FD with 60k miles on it that I need to sell. I bought this car 6 years ago as a project car and I have not been able to work on it in over 3 years now. The car is black on black. I replaced the 93 interior panels with brand new 94 ones (including instrument cluster). The Odometer had a short in it so I got one of the forums here but I still have the other one. I have a ton of parts that need to go into it (Mostly from Malloy). It does have a broken motor mount which I just have not had the time to replace but other than that I cannot think of any other major issues. I can post picture/video of the vehicle also.

What I want to know is appx how much these vehicles are selling for now a days? I really have no clue what to ask, but if I cannot sell it by Oct I will need to ship it up to Detroit when I move.

If this needs to be posted somewhere else please let me know and I will post there instead.

Thanks for the help,
Shogun

3rd gen for sale section.

Ive seen them go for 7800 all the way to 24k. Average for a stock one in decent condition is 12-15k. High HP single turbos 15k-19k. Really pristine oem ones can go for more than that. If they need alot of work it really depends on what condition the car is in and what parts go with it.

Thanks for the info. Do you think it would be worth it to get the motor mounts replaced before trying to sell it?

Well I have the tools so I will just jack it up this weekend and see if I can get those buggers out. Do you just put another jack under the tranny to lift the engine to get them out or do you need to disconnect anything from the engine first?

The tranny is connected to the diff by a big metal brace and of course the propeler shaft, connected by 4 bolts on the tranny and 5 on the rear diff, these are big bolts and 2 of them you need a deep well 21mm socket and about 3 foot breaker bar.

If you are going to do it do this.

Jack up the car on jackstands as high as you can get your holders to go.

Make sure the car is in nuetral.

Yank up the parking break really hard.

Mark where the propeller shaft meets the rear diff.

Take the 4 bolts from the proppeler shaft that is connected to the rear diff. ( I believe it is a 15mm)
**note- you will have to rotate the tires so you can access the bolts, you will have to do this 4 times to get all the bolts, making sure the parking brake is back up after you rotate**

get a flat head screw driver and pry it off of the diff, once it is loose push it in the transmission and bring it down then pull it towards the rear diff

It will come out with ease and you dont need to take the brace off to get this part off.

Now you need to take the transmission brace and rear d brace off and some plastics down there.

Get out your breaker bar and your 21mm sockets, dont try using small wrenches or you will break them.

take all the bolts off and it will just drop down after you remove the 9 bolts from the brace it will fall down, its heavy so be careful, it fell on my head.

The tranny will leak when you try and lift the motor up, but mazda sells a plug that you can put in it to stop leakage.

then you need to undue the motor mount bolts and get ready to lift it up a few inches to put the new mounts on.

Hope this helps. Only reason it took me long is because I broke my wrenches until i bought a good set. Its a pain in the ***. GL.
