I will repeat what I posted to another "newbie" earlier today.

Please read the thread entitled "Newbies" at the top of this forum area.

https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...threadid=68640

Also, please check the Archives subsection in this forum. There is a LOT of information there.

(Here, please see this thread posted earlier today).
https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...hreadid=170522

For books, do a search for the words "Jack Yamaguchi RX-7 book".

Also, go to Amazon.com (or any other major book retailer) and do a search for "RX-7". A number of good books will result.

Run a search for the book on Google (or some other search engine). Also, just because it is out of print, doesn't mean that you can't obtain the book.

Check Ebay or Half.com.

Hey Dude, it's always tough when you are new on the forum...seems like the thing to do is just post a new thread and ask...Well, if you do that you get pounced on by everyone forum vet...Whatever you do, don't say "Hi, i'm 17 and think I am going to buy a REX!" ohhhh Anyway, I have had my 7 for a year now and have been a forum member since then...I managed to learn everything I do about my car from this site...(granted what I know is not much but I all my own mods and work on my car) So stick around and read the stickys, lurk the forum and it's inevitable that you will learn...Either way, welcome to the dark side! ;D

Sorry if I came off as arrogant. I just gave you direct answers.

In fact, your type of thread came up 3 times within an hour. And given the frequency of your topic, it can kinda rub "veterans" the wrong way after awhile.

On the other hand, the "stickied" threads are on the very top of the forum as well as the archive section.

Either way, please browse through the forum. This forum is a huge wealth of knowledge.

No i wasnt aiming that comment at you sorry if i implied it, im very greatful that you actually took the time to reply and point me in the right direction!

I understand what you mean but nobody has to reply, and people waste probably 15 seconds of their lives reading it so i dont see why some people get so stressed!!! but thats just the way it is i guess, it doesnt matter!!

All you have to do to learn how a rotary engine operates is go to www.howstuffworks.com, look up rotary engines and go from there. It will take you into everything about it and other things such as our "torsen" (torque sensing) differential, transmission and anything related to RX-7s and cars in general. I wish I had found that site when I first start the epic struggle to become rotary literate.

When you are able, always do things yourself. Within our rx7 world there are sites devoted to this. Use them and be happy knowing you aren't at the mercy of an unruly mechanic.

Check out the links above and have fun.

Go to www.howstuffworks.com and read about the rotary engine. Learn the rotary jargon then the posts will make sense. Good luck
