Not bad, but i'd be worried about light output as well.

Wow! haha!

It probably has intake and exhaust, too. Oh well, to each his own.

I would not go so far as country bashing here.

The key points are:

Does the owner like them?
How is the lighting at night?

If you don't like how they look, then simply ignore the thread or state that it isn't in your taste, but if the craftsmanship is good, try complimenting that. Seriously people, would it kill you to be slightly more positive in your lives?

My opinion; I am unsure on the styling as it doesn't seem to flow with the lines of the car, but it does look aggressive. I am very curious as to how the lighting came out. It looks to me like you took some time to make them look how you wanted. Good work.

Now show us some pics of the lighting pattern!

Monk, you do realize your asking for maturity and what used to be known as common courtesy don't you?

they look better than those ebay "sleek lights" where the lights look like the eyes of a spider or something. Is the light output better than stock?

3rd keypoint for me would be, how negative is it for the airstream/drag?
So i prefer the version where a plastic cover is on the light, of course, you can forget it if the right headlight has an airduct included ( which i cant see from the pictures ).

Lawman, good point. And if there is no lense, how will the tabs on the cover hold up? I would recommend reinforcing them somehow seeing as mine cracked with very little lateral pressure.

Fair enough. I guess I have seen the rise in the willingness to insult, instead of constructive criticism.

I noticed you are in WA. How far is University Place from Pasco?

And? You feel that is open ground for pessimism and country bashing? I think not. RX7Club is supposed to have some class, a shred of dignity. Lets not undermine what this entire forum was created to do. Help other RX7 owners.

Since when is RX7Club a playground for e-thugs to stretch their wings and think up the most coolest-crazy-insane-insults yo! Seriously, If people lived how they "helped" other rx7 owners, I wouldn't be surprised to see more RX-suicides.

Negativity does not equal "cool"

That is all I am saying.

But hey, if you feel that nation bashing is acceptable from one person's modifications, then I am sure that you'd see no problem with a little racism, or genocidal supportist threads milling about the RX world.

and I wouldn't be surprised to see that last line sigged by someone.

i was not agreeing with the country bashing, i erased the bottom half and forgot to get the top also.

keep in mind though that what was said was just a joke, you dont have to go off the deep end. its all in good fun. unless someone from britian or wherever would happen to find it offensive, theres not a problem

not too bad, but i'd be worried about structural integrity at speed. i've lost two headlight covers that hadn't been modified in any way, and putting an opening like that could create a parachute effect (the headlight cover being the parachute) that would make it much easier for the headlight cover to be ripped off by airflow.

that being said, i like the style. the only thing i'd change is to make the opening a little more aggressive. behold my amazing Microsoft Paint skills:

i don't think common courtesy exists anymore. people are just flat-out selfish and rude these days.

Guys please lets keep this thread on track. I will welcome any criticism but please no Country bashing as this will lead to things that are worthless.

I did state above that its not finished product. I am still waiting for the side lights to be delivered and some clear covers too.

Someone made a very good point above about how strong the covers will be on high speed so i will be sorting them out with thin steel bars accross held down by a layer of fibreglass.

I have attached a pics with inside lights as they will look once the side lights are here.

As to the mod of the car the yes it has;
-- intake with GT3540
-- Big and louuuuud back box
-- V-mount setup
-- WI and ignition etc

sorry wrong place for spec info....keep your inputs comming good or bad as thats my reason to post here but please i dont want to go into any arguments etc. We all love our 7 as to what ever shape or state they are in hence a reason to be here.

cheers
