I could care less what you consider humorous.

The proper phrase would be "I couldn't care less".

Yes, I do searches on the forum to keep tabs on you just to make sure you're in line. Either that or it's just that as a mod I have to read through most of the threads on the forum.

For someone that claims to be an adult you sure act like a kid when it comes to following rules.

Allow me to explain something to you.

I'm 25 years old and a First Lieutenant Promotable (soon to be a Captain) in the United States Army. I'm an Executive Officer in my Signal Corps Company (over 100 soldiers) and second in charge behind my Company Commander, a Captain. My job comes with a lot of stress and responsibility--my unit (or any unit in the U.S. Army) could be in Afghanistan tomorrow, and it's my job to make sure we're ready.

I use this forum to joke around with my buddies, relax, and relieve stress. I also consider myself a valuable contributor to this forum, as I know a decent amount about third gen RX7s, having owned one for over three and half years and modified it extensively.

I see that you were born in 1982. Don't talk to me about who is an adult and who is a kid.

Never said you were a kid, but since you are 26 you should know how to follow rules; and being in the Army that should be even more true. Are we saying you can't have fun here? Nope, but we do ask you to follow a set of simple rules. As a soon to be Captain I would think that would be crystal clear to you.

Whoa there killer!

Easy fellas. To be honest, I don't give a **** who's 16 or who's 57. I don't care if you're someone that's looking to buy an FD, or someone that has owned one since it was new. I don't even care if your car is completely stock, or putting out 450hp. I'm just here to talk about cars, and specifically, 3rd gen 7's.

I value everyone's opinions, especially those that have a little experience with these cars, as I'm just now getting into the FD thing.

Joke around, have fun, relieve some stress. That's perfectly fine, and that's what we're here for - to have fun. God knows that I bitch and joke around on a daily basis (sometimes hourly). But keep the flames out of here. If you wanna start a flame war or do anything more than light-hearted jesting and prodding, don't do it on my post!!! Go ahead, flame someone out and yell at them, I don't care, but for God sakes do it via personal e-mail, pm, or start your own dang post. This one was created so that all of you could bask in the glory of a beautiful and original 93 RX-7, and hold glorified envy towards the owner (ahem... that would be me)

Now, just sit back, chill out, and enjoy the view!!

Haha! I gotta admit, it's not too bad. Nice and clean. Is that a 99 spec front lip? I really like how that looks on your car. Think it would look decent on mine?

Yeah, it is. 180 Lira from rx7.com. If you have the funds (I've heard a certain other cadet complain for over a year now about being broke ) I think it would look great on your FD. It's cheaper than the R1 lip, too.

Thanks hannah, but I'm fine where I stand...

Rob, that front lip looks really nice on any FD. From what I understand you have to drill a couple extra holes in the front fascia, but it isnt any big deal. My R1 lip is pretty torn up from some very bad roads around here and in dallas and if i decide in the next couple weeks here not to put on an entirely new aftermarket front end, I will be ordering one up and putting it on. Realize that it is made of a stiffer material than the stock R1 lip so you have to be extra careful (especially around here), but it is designed a little more aggressively so it should provide a little more high speed downforce (especially over having no lip at all) and a more aggressive look to the car.

GoodfellaFD3S - Yeah, having a tough time with funds (or rather, the lack thereof) seems to be a common occurance among cadets

I'll keep thinking about that lip for a little while (I really like the look of it), but I think I'm gonna spend some money on some small engine mods first

Rikki - Thanks for the help man, I think you hit it right on. I've already ordered a new AST, and I'll put that in asap. Next will be the dp. Can't wait to get her out here to CO so I can start doing a little work!
