It was probably someone you knew..

Also a bit of advice, Do not advertise your stereo, Turn it off or down before entering the neigbor hood you live in! You would be supprised how much this helps.. Never put stickers for stereo equipment on your car..

Sorry to hear that!! Yeah, insurance always tries to get out of paying for your loss! Sucks cause you pay so much every year for the insurance and they pull this crap when you need it!

Out of curiousity ... what is a good car security system? I have yet to buy one, but after hearing about the rash of FD crimes lately ... I will be purchasing one ASAP!

Well, My ins co is actuly pretty good..........

Since it was stolen at my house homeowners INS covers it.. Problem is I don't have reciepts or serial numbers... Last time my other car was broken into I had over 2000 dollars in paintball equipment stolen and they wrote a cheack two days later........ I also droped the clutch on my SHO in my garage and shoved my bumper into my 1000 dollar schwinn mountain bike and they wrote the cheack that day when I had a reciept made from the place i bought it..... I paid 800 for the 1k bike it was no longer made and the replacement value on the bike was 1400 bucks well I had a cheack the same day for 1250 they paid the replacement value.. Problem is this is 8800 dollars They gonna want reciepts.... I gotta talk my agent tommaro.

Dude, that totally sucks! I feel your pain, man I'm so pissed for you, makes you want to go bust some heads!

If you bought some stuff off ebay print out the email recipes of the items, ins co might accept them.

That really sucks about your pistol, that HK is a nice weapon.

The stock FD alarm works pretty good, and is hard to switch off, how did they get around it? I have an aftermarket alarm installed along with the factory alarm, its a pain disarming both every time I get into my car, but worth the piece of mind.

Someone busts into my baby there gunna get some 7.62X39 up there ***!

Seriously if you lost 8k worth of stuff and the ins co is not going to cover it all I would call a lawyer and tell him your case, most of the time a simple legal letter from a lawyers office can help out.

That truly does suck man. I think someone else on the board had their car broken into aswell. My buddy had his system stolen from his truck a few months back. Turned out, some kids that lived down the street from him were responsible. He got it back after him and couple people went up to give them a stern talking to...

Who the hell is stupid enough to steal stereo out of a car by crowling thru the hatch. Why not just the passenger window? Also, the thief must be on drugs or desperate to take a firearm as well.

Most thieves return to the crime scene just for the hell of it. If you see someone suspicious, question him.

Sorry for your loss, I hope you get most of it from your insurance. Maybe they'll take credit card statement as proof of purchase amt. Any pix of the stereo would be good too.

that sucks big time. why didnt ur alarm go off? i have a tight *** alarm on my ride. mine pages me up to 25oo ft away and shows me on an lcd keychain what part of the car is being fucked with. anyone with a nice ride should get one.

check it out. they go from 100 to 400 bucks on ebay but they retail for almost 900 bucks. it was a great investment for me, i have caught people all kinds of stuff around my car, but they have never been succesful in breaking in or stealing anything.

Thumbs down Damn..Bastards should have more respect for cars...especially the Rx7

I'm sorry to hear that.....My rex also got broken into about a year ago. Freakin bastards should know not to fu#% with an Rx7. They only stole my cheasy radio and nothing else( cause my car was gutted ). Now to prevent this from happening again its truly gutted and I removed the tint on the drivers and passenger windows. Now if someone were to look in they would see nothing to steal(except maybe gauges). My cars pretty much a race car anyway....well, I feel your pain bro.

You didn't mention anything about damage to the interior of your car. How in the world did they steal all of that stereo equipment including the speakers without totally trashing the interior of your car?
