you should call USPS asap! See with them if they made an error on shipping address or maybe it's still in one of their warehouse... did you take any insurance on this particular delivery?
heh that's no fun huh.... you're waiting for this damn box to get there and they lose it

I hope that you used a CC for the purchase. First try to work it out. If all else fails use your CC as your trump card. Basically you have them reverse the charges because you never received the item.

Follow with UPS not CC
I would tend to disagree with using the CC to reverse the charges. You can use your CC for an insurance claim should you not have it with UPS as many do offer a 30 coverage policy. I am a merchant and I have had that clients reverse charges on thier CC before, it is not my fault if a client refuses insurance - I shipped in good faith. It is UPS's fault and not the merchants (that is if it was sent correctly). Its no fun but right now both of you are out the product. I hope you had insurance. As well, who shipped it on who's UPS account? If you paid shipping as a receiver on your own account or as a one off COD than you have to make the claim. If the sender used their account than they are the only ones that can make the claim with UPS and I would assume need to resend another ECU to you since they should get refunded.
This assuming UPS cannot find it. It has happened often that they have lost my packages. After a trace 50% of the time it is found to be delivered to the incorrect place and finally arrives. As well this may sound stupid but I once was missing a package (receiver) and went through the whole trace thing. Sure enough UPS found it. It was on my back porch for days. I am sure you have checked this if you have a back side.
And sorry, that sucks either way.

reverse charges or call the merchant and let them find it.
Yes its UPS fault, but you shouldnt have to pay insurance on the product you are recieving. Merchant should pay their own insurance so that you get the product and they dont have to risk losing their money via credit card reverse
merchant shoud get a refund anyhow and send you a new product

This is SOO true! Their system is pretty outdated and they really need to update soon. In fact, just the other day I was talking to a USPS employee about their shipping system and I can't believe how poor it is compared to say FedEx. Just wait a day or two more, but keep contacting the shipping company in the meantime. I agree don't reverse the charges yet. You have no reason to suspect fraud so that's just dishonest and wrong.
