My coolant is leaking like crazy!! help!?

Remember to check the coolant level at *both* caps. The proper filling location is not at the AST but at the cap on top of the water pump / thermostat housing (to the left as you face the engine bay) and you should always make sure that *that* area is topped off.
Check the level at all three locations before you start up the car over the next few days. Keep an eye out for leaks. They don't just "go away" :-/
Good luck,

As a followon thought - make sure you have the right sort of caps on the AST and the filler neck. The cap on the AST is a pressure relief and has a spring loaded valve built into the cap to allow coolant to and from the overflow tank. The cap on the filler neck (passanger side) is a sealed cap and shoud *not* have a spring built into it. It is flat.
Make sure you did not mix up the caps.

If you need a radiator just so you can drive it, i have a stock one with only like 1000 miles on it. I will just give it to you if that is what it is, then later you can order a aftermarket one.

If you are finding that air keeps appearing under either the AST or the filler cap, replace the AST cap first (with a Mazda OEM 0.9 bar cap). If you keep getting more and more air in the system, start looking for the telltale signs of blown coolant seals.

I haven't replaced them all yet, I just got the radiator and newer AST. I'm going to try and buy all the hoses tommorow and finish before I have to go to work, and to answer x605p747R1's question, I live in the Silver Firs area.

It's your AST Tank leaking at the seams. You need to replace it. Also , when u fill the the system try doing it from the filler neck. Not sure if you need to "Burp" the cooling system after all the coolant loss, but you might have to.

cool... i just got a new AST, not aftermarket though. My radiator won't swap out because I got a 5 speed one, ouch, at least it was free. Anyways, I think it might be my AST and i found a cracked lower radiator hose too. I hope these things fix it up because i think it might be the radiator, it's the crappy stock plastic one for the automatic.
