My car fights to go into first gear

I need some help, fast. I have to seriously fight with my car to get it into first or second gear, and I'm not sure what the problem is. Could somebody please point me in the right direction to fix this. I don't know if it's the clutch or tranny or what. The other gears work fine. It's only slightly easier to shift first or second while not at a stop. Thanks all.

double chekc your clutch fork for cracks or bends and the amount it moves when you push the clutch in. if its not that, you will probally need to rebuild your tranny unfortunatly.

Could be a few things, clutch fork like skunks mentioned, pilot bearing, worn clutch or leaking clutch hydralics.

To check the fork you've got to remove the trans, at the same time you can check the pilot bearing and clutch wear.
