missing km from odometer, vanished 300km?
Very strange, short after i got the car i leave without battery for 2 month, working on, now i put new battery and started again, but the km showed in odometer are missing 300km!!
The km-age is arond 69700, the same when i got the car and drove back to house (around 350Km) to little more 70000km easy to remember, i cannot be wrong, how can be??
no i was not driving so fast (more than light back in time)
Any idea?
i searched, seems the odometer value is stored in gauge cluster, not in ecu, 2 month without battery is a reset, when starting took 10 minutes to reach a good idle, smoth, i drive 10min around home, and noticed km-age was below 70000!

ok ,dude ...easy , are you shure you wheren`t smoking some good **** ?!.......joke
i dont think 2 months without battery is a reset , my car has "sat" for more then 2 years without me losing mileage, and yes the mileage is stored in the cluster not ECU , otherwise when swapping to microtech / or other similar ECU you would start at 0 right!
....what happened to you is wierd...never heard of that before

When i arrived home i noticed odometer was showing around 70050. when driving km was adding up as normal. two day later i added around 15 km more, maybe now something goes wrong, when i reconnected battery? but all goes fine..
yes km-age is not related to ecu, and maybe ecu was not reset, but starting was hard, idle rough, afetr 10 min went smoth, dunno maybe it's only the engine sitting for so long.
smoking?..for sure a lot of premium first-quality gasoline, starting up in my garage

Disconnect the battery every night and maybe you'll get the odometer down to 50000 km!
Seriously, though, I think I've seen something similar maybe 2 or 3 times in all the years I've had the car. It *seemed* like it subtracted the trip odometer's mileage from the odometer. It was not related to how long the battery was disconnected.
