Megan racing trailing arms an toe links: quality request

I'm about to order these. What are the comments on these?

My car is for street and track. Can these be recommended or are there better alternatives?

thx

megan is a good company. produce a lot of 240sx stuff and are well respected in that community.

I saw control arms from them that were not fully welded which could have led to a failure while driving which can result in injury or death. There pic's on here somewhere on the forum I believe, I would be worried about the other parts as well.

Ive had megan coilovers on one of my cars, they were decent, id buy another set.

But i've seen the megan suspension multilink break quite a few times, alot of the guys who track their 240s break them left and right, the welds seem to be not so great.

my advice, go with something that has been tested and will hold up well above the the needed level(X2 if youre Racing or Single).

Ok, point taken.

What would be a 'tested alternative'?

I'm making an order at RX7store. net (for this and other stuff) and they have 2 alternatives. One is Megan, the other undefined.

Are the others any good?

I'm also ordering from Japan, do they have decent alternatives?

thx

Here in the UK, in the 200sx (your 240sx) scene it's kind of the opposite - I have seen evidence of lots of failures on the Megan/generic eBay components - there seem to be a fair few rose jointed suspension arms which fail at the welds due to the poor quality pillowballs seizing up and placing undue pressure on the joins - not good.
I wouldn't put any of their suspension parts on my car.

here is a review i saved on megan racing coilovers. that should give you a better idea of there product quality. there control arms are also brought up in the discussion...

although, like was said, they have a bad reputation for shitty welding.

I run OEM. I don't have a reason to change them out at the moment. If I do change them, I would use those at least right now.
