Question Main Bearing Thickness?

I just bought the thickest main bearings for a new rx8 e shaft and I'm getting a clearance of 0.18mm, the limit is 0.11mm. I am using a cheap digital caliper that has a resolution of 0.xx mm. I'm guessing that it is the caliper and not a mistake on bearing choice?

My grandpa let me use his Starrett caliper, and bearings actually have a clearance of 0.7mm, so if you get an rx8 eccentric shaft, the 2mm main bearings should work or be very close, and the rotor lobes are the same size for both the rx7 and rx8 shafts.
