Well, after checking my coils 2X, changing air filters, fuel filter, rechecking electical connections 3X, and changing my plugs 2X, checked tps and any other number of sensors, finally found my problem - Damn plug wire on the #2 trailing was screwed! I was beginning to think that I had blown the engine. Only thing I hadn't done yet was to do a compression test.
Car was idleing poorly, backfire and hesitation, would hunt for idle (pfc), and generally ran like dog doo. So this weekend, I changed the oil, put in another new set of plugs and took a close look at the plug wires, sure enough, #2 trailing was not seating properly, and had arcing soot around it. Cleaned it up, reseated the internal conecter, pluged it back in, and the car runs fine
It really pisses me off to spend AT LEAST 12 hours diagnosing a simple problem like this.
Anyway, now I can make an appointment for a dyno tune and not a repair appointment.
