m2 med SMIC

hey i'm thinking about getting the m2 smic but ive heard that the ast wont fit? I just bought an aluminum one and i want to keep it. Can i still keep it with this ic? Also i know the apexi intakes wont work with this but, will the rx-7 fashion box work? and does anyone know why the price for the large and the medium m2 intercoolers is the same on their site? I thought the large costed more then the m2? Also anyone sellin a medium m2 used?

I remember Kevin Wyum who made the M2 intercoolers (formerly ASP) said the medium sized intercoolers were actually more expensive to make ..might want to do a search on that..it was in a thread about 2 months ago. I got a RE Amenyia intake to work with my M2 medium..it's like a huge picnic basket..very tight fit. I don't think the Apexi intake will work with it. The RX7 fashion box should work but again, it will be a tight fit. Good luck finding a M2 medium used..people keep them. Not sure about your AST since I deleted mine.

You can keep the ast you just have to move it. I'm pretty sure the Fashion box will fit with the med i/c.

there is a guy on the parts trader selling a used M2 Medium SMIC. At least he was yesterday. He is also selling the M2 Intake, so if you haven't purchased an intake yet, this would be a great deal for you. Here is a link.

Good luck!

Get the M2 intake. It will fit with it, and it's a really good intake.

I have the M2 medium SMIC with the M2 cold air intake and the match is perfect, but tight. And yes you either have to relocate the AST or eliminate it. I got the M2 AST elimination kit and had absolutely no problems. You also need to use the Greddy elbow as the M2 IC piping will not fit into the stock elbow. Good luck!

I have M2 instake, M2 SMIC and relocated OEM AST in my car. Does that answer your question?
