M Spec FMIC from rx7store
Has anybody ever used the Greedy M Spec FMIC nock off from rx7store.net? If so could you tell me how the product worked out for you and the installation design. I am looking for a FMIC that is good for the stock twins running at 1bar and hides in the bumper.

It's just a replica of the short-lived MSpec. It's probably using a similar bar and plate core as the MSpec did which has it's pros and cons to the tube and fin design. I doubt you'd notice a difference.

Speaking of which, was there a reason for the real GReddy MSpec IC to be short lived? Pricing? Efficiency? Quality?

Man, these things are CHEAP!! I had this and paid well over 1200.
I would go with upgraded SMIC instead of FMIC for 14lbs. I have a SR SMIC forsale

I too am curious about this intercooler. I believe I saw an install thread & review posted not so long ago, though it could have been in the single forum. Try searching. There should be some good info.

Its a popular upgrade and comes with the same hardware as the Greddy intercoolers. Install is not bad but you do have to remove the bumper and trim the rebar. I typically recommend that you do a radiator upgrade at the same time.
If interested give me a call or email and I will give you rx7club pricing on it which will save you some money.

Its the exact same thing as the Greddy one. I bought the Greddy one and my friend has the knockoff and the installation is the same, and I dont notice any difference in performance at all. Go pick it up.

I'm at my shop trying to install this FMIC without instructions. Jason, I will be calling you in the morning if I can't complete this and the radiator upgrade.
I guess I should have mentioned I would have needed instructions to install this setup huh?

Did any of you have problems with the air condenser brackets? I pretty much had to modify/fab four mounts out of the supplied material to get it bolted up properly.
Oh yeah, Jason, those samco rad hoses you sent me were wrong. Kinda sux too cause I had to pay 27% duty to customs, on top of what you guys charge, to get the wrong parts.

Read the directions. You have to cut the radiator hose to work with that intercooler. Nothing wrong with the Samco hoses you got. Nobody makes a radiator hose kit that works exactly with that intercooler.

Those radiator hoses look nothing like the stock parts. I understand the need to cut the stock ones, but samco set doesn't look like they would fit even with the cutting.
