Lots of backfiring and some "hesitation"?

I just got my rebuild done with a Mazda Re-man. I put 500 miles on it without going over 3k rpms the whole time. Well I took it out to open her up and at higher rpms (5000-6500) it feels like it is holding back and backfires a lot on accel and decel. Anyone ever had this problem? Thanks for the help.

Check your pressure sensor. Make sure that it is tight. Obviously, when you hit 5000-6500 boost is higher causing the silicon hose at the pressure sensor loose.

The pressure sensor is located in the engine bay on the driver side near the intake elbow.

Good luck!

Check your plugs if you haven't done so already...if they're fouled you can sometimes get that type of effect.
