Cool Looking for a FD, please help

I am looking for a FD for some period of time now. There is a main concern when I read the spec of different cars. So my question is why most of the FDs have rebuild or replace engine? What is the common leak link causing this? It's a excellent all around car but have a weak engine?

Well rotary engines is totally different and unique in itself from any other cars in the world. You have to more research on this if you are going to get the RX-7. Well I have own the car for 1 year and I went through the same situation as you do before I purchase the car. From my own experience, there lots of reasons and it varies from case to case. A good example of that is owners doing performance upgrades at their own risk disregarding the fuel and ecu parts of the car. Rotary is like any other cars and you cannot put alot into it and expects to get much out of it. Knowing a good reputable mechanics that knows the car is important. So lnows as much about the car as you can.

I think what he was trying to say is that
lots of people put all these high performance parts in the car,
and not doing required reliability parts to back them up.

Plus there were some flaws with the 93 that are simple
to fix, but if ignored could mess up your engine.

Bottom line is that the rotary engine IS more sensitive than
piston engine, and needs to be treated right.

But dude, it's sooooo worth it.

I also think it has to do with the people who own the cars. Who do you know who has an fd and doesn't beat the hell out of it? It's hard to get a really good one because the only people who really look into doing all the reliabilty mods are also the people who are beating the crap out of their cars and aslo doing many upgrades. What you need is some dork who's treated the car like a princess, done everything right, and also not beaten on the car. It doesn't happen like that though. I think if I were going to start over, I'd buy one with lots of upgrades and also a new motor. Usually these cars aren't even all that much more expensive than a stock fd and will save you an absolute fortune in parts. All you need to do is make sure the car is set up correctly with a fuel pump and a tuned ecu so that the fuel is sufficient. The pump isn't need unless you are talking about a lot of hp.
