Exclamation Latest generation of Racing Beat dual tip muffler

What do you all think of Racing Beat's latest SS dual tip muffler. I'm seriously considering the purchase. It looks like real qualtiy construction.

I'm not a fan of dual tip exhausts but Racing Beat is a quality company. I'm sure the design as well as the constuction is very good.

i have the racing beat dual tip (painted), and i love it. its probably the closest to stock lookin aftermarket exhaust on the market. performs and looks good, great contruction, nice sound(mines quite loud cuz of MP) etc...

another reason why id recommend racing beat is because customer service. when you order it, youll probably get it within a week, unlike other companies where it can take months.

the tips are not painted. a while ago, RB had two versions of their exhaust systems. for both dual tip and single tip, they had "painted" and full stainless. "painted" had black piping and a black muffler, with polished SS tips. this sold for cheaper than the full SS. now, they only offer complete polished SS systems.

This is not a very good pic to show detail of the muffler but I have the painted one from about three years ago. It has the polished tips with the RB stamped on them.It is great quality and fits perfect, no rust and sounds great. A little more restrictive than others but it's good as I run mid and down pipes and it help controll boost spiking.

Just paint it yourself with black engine paint cause that's all it is. That's my plan if I ever decide on that catback. THe canisters are exatcly the same.

The older painted one was 409 stainless and a little quieter than the new one, but I don't think it was made as well. But don't ge me wrong, it was still very nicely made.

For a while, the painted one was discontinued, so you could only get the polished 304 stainless one.

The newer painted one has slightly larger tips, better construction, and seems a tad bit louder. I don't know if it is 304 or 409 stainless. It looks more like the 304 one always has, so perhaps it is just the same exhaust painted instead of polished.

If I were to choose between the two painted ones, I'd rather have the newer one. But I've got an older one.

I'm not a fan of the dual tip exhause,, i guess i just don't like the look. It looks to factory, although that is what a lot of people want.

I have one of the RB dual tips that was made by RSR, it is a very nice unit, nice sound and power. IMHO its the best looking exhaust.

Those big canister exhaust look like a damn honda civic fart can and some have tendency to melt the bumber.

I have not seen the new incarnation, so I can't give any feed back, but if they are like the RSR ones, then it is a quality unit.

Hey rotary-tt what size are those tips? I'm thinking about making custom exhaust cause i don't like the fart can look and was thinking 3" pipe and 2 1/2" tips, are your tips 2 inch?

Thanks,
Cuz

I have the older version... I like it, not too radical. Might upgrade later down the road
