Camera was the D1H ... lens was the 80-200 f2.8 AF Nikkor. Focal length was set around 150 mm, so with the 1.4 mag factor (CD chip size is smaller than standard 24mmx36mm 35 mm format) that would equal about 210 mm on your standard film camera.

Great to hear from you Tim.
Running strong is not even a good description. This must be the only perfectly - 110% - running strong "super" stock 3G on the planet. I credit you with building a work of automotive art.
A little background on the past two years, I'm sure you are curious. It's been a daily driver - about 40 miles a day. I run it April through November before the highway salters take to the road. After installing the downpipe, exhaust and new tires, I haven't had to spend a dime on it - other than fluid replacement. I've put about 10,000 miles on it and beside a stone chip or two on the nose it's in the same if not in better condition than you sold it to me. (And for the rest of you, no, it is not for sale. My wife will burry me in this car. LOL)
The engine still works like a Swiss jeweled clock, with no smoke and is pulling an 11-8-11 boost pattern with 16-17mms vacuum on idle. 0-60 is still sub 5 seconds. I think it is the result of that crazy air intake you installed, coupled with the downpipe, lightweight racing clutch system and the fact that the vacuum system and turbos are still perfect.
The car could be a poster child for what is right about 94 RX-7s. Most of the local gearheads can't believe this car is bulletproof. They're always asking to see if there's still a 13B under the hood. "That engine can't still be running," is what one local mechanic keeps telling me.
By the way, I was cleaning out our press kit cabinet at work last month and found a very thick press kit for the 2004 EVO. It's got history, technical specs, a CD and special technology rundowns on all the EVOs Mitsu built. I saved it for you. It's going to be worth a mint someday among the Mitsu collectors. If you'd like it, PM me with an address. I've lost yours.
All I can say is, thanks Tim.
Dave

Great to hear Dave! Sorry it took so long to read the post. It's like finding out how an old girlfriend is doing after you dumped her but still kind of wish you were together. Sometimes you wish she's gone downhill and you made the right decision, but mostly you're just happy that she is still doing well.
For my purposes, the Evo is better. I'm winning Solo races all the time now, and winters are cake with the Evo.
