Knightsports "Tower Plate" (engine cover)

I came across this on the knightsports website. what do you guys think? Its about $1k + shipping. I'd paint it black though, I think.

If it functions like a strutbar and also is fastened to the firewall, I'd think it's somewhat overpriced.
If it's just cosmetic it's ugly and expensive, it looks like the OEM strutbar wouldn't even fit over it. Which would make it a $1000 downgrade.
I see no reason to buy this.

Its just bling. Yes it replaces the shock tower bar (the FD doesn't have struts) but it doesn't duplicate its function.

1) This will only work on RHD Cars.

2) It functions as a strut bar, and also supports the car under heavy braking.

Function wise, it works.

Price and appearance: That's for you to judge.

I swear the parts for these cars get more ridiculous every year.

That Knight Sports piece is gayer than Bon Jovi.

Personally I always thought the engine bays in these cars were a mess. Too many wires and hoses. That is expensive for what it is though.

Yep, they discontinued it and refuse to make it anymore, too bad. Even I am having difficulty sourcing it. Andy, shoot me a PM and let me know that the recaro rz seats came in okay.
