Hey I just happend to be on the Big track testing my race car(USCC were testing on small track).
I spoke to people from Gotham racing they are really nice guy.

1. from what I hear the car make about 47x WHP on 2xPSI boost, but I blow all the vacuum on first pull.

2. the car run 12.6 or 12.4 or 1/4 mile

3. CAR got pretty low point(almost zero point) on drive abilty and etc

4. The car did not perform very well on skip pad

It's rough to try and do everything last minute. I made that mistake with the Onelap. To do any of those events right you need to have everything done a few months in advance and then spend all the time tweaking and perfecting it all. I feel for them if it didn't go as well as hoped. I'm sure it'll be a lot different next time. Steve clearly knows how to tune the cars so next time will be different.

well kudos for the attempt....it is a beautiful machine...considering that five days ago it was in the paint shop in pieces I think they did pretty damn well.

Take a look at Mani Jayasinghe's Supra from USCC (02 or 03). It dyno'd well into the 600's and still only ran a 12. I have a video of the car making a pass and you could see the wind blowing sand particles over the track. From what i gather it's a real slippery track.

With this being as last minute as it was they were lucky to even get there.

Interesting you said they "blew all the vacume" on the first pull. Sounds like the poped an apex seal. If that was the first event then it prob ruined everything else, especially the driveability. I can see where being this pressed for time they might not have had time to tune it all the way.

Well, that sucks.....Good effort though guys. Its amazing that you even got the car there considering the condition 2 weeks ago

Let us know all the spacifics

STEPHEN

There is no way to build a car like this up and try and race it with no testing and tuning.

I'm bummed for all the work these guys did but I'm not surprised in the least.

"Werd".

I knew the minute I saw the list of things they were adding that they were likely to have problems. Making a lot of last minute changes just increases your chances of failure, not of success. They would have been better off stabilizing one configuration and working all the bugs out of it... or starting earlier.

Still, I am sorry to hear that they didn't do well. It's really a shame after all that effort.

damn that sucks. and if the car places bad (not being a top contender) i doubt there will be another rotary in the event, unless the editors let one in. before thise one there ahve only been two rotary cars in it, both were datsun 510's.
