Let me talk to the foundry on Monday to find out about how long the normal production runs will take, now that everything is done, before I take any orders outside those already waiting on the part.

Damian. I have a Rx7fashion airbox that is similar to the older M2 boxes. This causes a shift of that pipe more toward the drivers side. Do you know anyone who can test fit that pipe in a car with a airbox?

You will have to ask Kevin on that, but i do know that Kevin moved the IC connection end of the pipe a little in each direction and it could accomodate a pretty wide sweep of where it connected. In othere words, if my IC was shifted over to the right side of the bay an inch (as your facing it) the pipe would still connect to it fine.

as kevin said, when I saw it i was like "you could use this as a weapon", it is seriously a strong part, but not overkill, the walls are not too thick.

Damian,

You missed the same joke that I did : ). He meant because the price was higher than $185 that it must be really heavy to cost $15 in shipping. Scroll up you'll see I missed it too hehe.

Good news, bad news. I just dug through the rest of the peanuts in the box from the foundry and discovered there was only 1 other tube in there. So I only have two, not three. Sorry to person number three. Foundry said they didn't like the first part and threw it and changed the pattern to correct what they didn't like. The good news on the other hand is the foundry said they're shooting to have all 30 of my first order done in 2 weeks, only about 15 or 16 of those are for the group buy so that means I appear to have about 15ish available in two weeks. He said lead times on orders of that size should only be about 2 weeks but I intend to keep a number in stock. I will be selling them directly, add $10 for box and shipping ground. Jason I believe has also agreed to sell them and Jeff H to his local people since he did all the CAD work on this. Price should be the same I believe.

Just wanted to let everyone know on the time issue and also the missing pipe : (.

I was wondering the same thing. My P.O.S. piece is rubbing like a mother right now on my strut bar, just waiting to hear boost leaking out sometime soon.

Paging Kevin

Kevin,

Are you willing to supply replacement parts for ICs previously sold through M2? For example, my IC duct seal is looking pretty rough after three of four years.

See http://www.mantissaconsulting.com/et...gine_11_04.JPG

The FG duct is a little beat as well, but I think I can fix that.

On another note...

With regard to heat soak of SMICs, I would think an adhesive backed heat barrier a la Thermotec (or similar) would inhibit or mitigate this condition if it was applied to the end tanks and bottom of the IC. Any opinion(s)?

Thanks,

Gene

You can email me at KTWyum@ASPScreening.com if you want to order one of the pipes and you weren't part of the previous group buy.

As for supporting IC's that were sold under M2 I can do so but not as a charity or as if I had sold the product, meaning I will have to charge for anything. I'm out of seal material but I need to order a spool anyway so I can help you out there, maybe $20 for the time material and then whatever USPS charges. A new duct I might not be able to help with. I've been pretty cautious about ever providing those unless the person has purchased a kit from me.

Here's a bone for anyone with these IC's, if you purchased an IC in the past, however long ago, and yes even if you bought it from M2, with the old style turbo side pipe and or the M2 welded air pump pipe and you have any kind of proof of purchase (reciept, photo copy of that line from a credit card bill, cancelled check, even a picture of the IC in your car) I'll knock $50 off the price of the pipe temporarily so it would be $135 instead of the normal $185. Hope that helps.

That's great. I wouldn't expect it to be free, particularly since I'm the root cause of the tear(s).

Thanks,

I was just wondering if this pipe would work with an RX7Fashion or M2 style airbox?

Link doesn't go anywhere for me.

If you want a pipe email me please, don't say you want one here. I don't want to clutter up this board with that kind of thing, just send me an email. : )

I won't be doing it but there's no reason you can't polish them. They're about the same as the OEM intake manifold in construction.

Kevin, sorry to clutter your thread but I tried to email you twice about the pipes....

Can you double check your email? Thanks.
