I hope it makes it to So. Cal. before Duke Nukem Forever!

I'm glad to see at least those who purchased the device (Conv.WS6) are getting an explaination... and don't seem pissed after the fact. I now have much more confidence in it.

hey Conv.WS6
do you have emissions out in VA? if so, does the mod affect your emissions issues? Anyone run a test on their emissions to see what the impact of the "mod" was on emissions?
thanks

It should not hurt emissions. I am in PA and we have tight emissions. Also the mod is good for those of us with twins.

have you gotten an emissions test afterwards? That was one of my concerns when I was there, and at the time I spoke to them, they weren't 100% sure what the effect on emissions would be....

same as a single... this is supposed to prevent detonation... actually i would think it would almost be better for you twin guys because your turbos create so much damn heat......

I remember reading that this device is accompanied by a change in timing that improves torque. I haven't seen dyno graphs proving it, but added torque SURE WOULD BE NICE.

Since the A/F ratios don't change a whole lot (actually get leaner if anything) the emissions shouldn't get worse, but may result in a different proportion of pollutant levels.

Also the results have been rumored to benefit anything from stock to crazy-port.

I'm headed to KDR for this in the spring regardless if it's been released yet.

The rumored torque increase was something around 10 or 20 ft-lb for a stock car. Unconfirmed but from personally credible sources.

I think anybody should have no problem with getting this mod. Especially now that he is letting the buyers know what they are getting and explaining how it works. All you got to do is sign a contract that says you dont tell anyone what it is, does, or how it works. Im glad to see that there arent people on here bad mouthing KDR for not telling everyone what it is. They have a lot of money invested in this, and almost went out of business creating it. Anyone in there shoes would have done the same thing.

The emissions shouldn't change with this device, also it's a mod that is not influenced by the type of turbo setup you have. Torque numbers seemed to be higher in the mid RPM range from what I've seen, but not a real noticeable difference. No emissions in my part of VA, but closer to Washington DC they have them. My car won't pass emissions to save it's life right now. LOL....It basically will make you cry when you walk behind it. Cops love it too. LOL.....
later guys,
Ralph

I got this mod. done also and ran 87 octane with it, boosted to 10-8-10 and held it.The car pulled just as good with 93, Dave said not to put 89 in because they put some kind of addivite in it.Well since then I went back to 93 I really didnt feel good putting 87 octane in so I just kept it at 93.But I'm pretty sure that if I boosted likr that w/o the mod. on 87 the engine would have said bye, bye.

I just wish there was a way to get it in Texas without driving up there.

They (KDR) must not require anyone to sign for it anymore, because I got it with my new ReMan back at the beginning of November, and I didn't have to sign anything... except the bill of course!

did he tell you what it did? Or just install it on your car?
big difference.

Good point. He told me what it did, but very vaguely explained how it works.

All rotary engines can use this mod. In a few years when the warranty is up and I start to mod my 8, this device will come first. I have been told I can do a 75 shot of nitrous in the 8 without detonation fears with the device. So I am thinking; device, computer (hopefully developed by then), nitrous, intake, hiflo cat, catback and maybe a supercharger or turbo. Then I can say bye-bye to the 7.
As far as performance gains today, I can not say if the device gives any midrange torque or not, I know my numbers went up after install--but I did injectors and first real dyno/tuning session at the same time. It does allow for more aggressive tuning and a leaning of your A/F with no detonation. Remember my car is not going to be aggressively tuned right now due to my failing twins. When I get new twins (its going to take me a while on the funds end), I will have the car more aggressively tuned and then my report will mean more.

I've heard many good things. Did you all that have find it to be worth the money? I could always use something that could save my *** from buying a new engine.

Um, you do realize that no one is going to give you a moments peace, until you give us this vague and disclosable explaination, right?

Tell us! Tell us! I wanna know!

Yeah, I guess I should have thought about that. Honestly though, your best bet would be to call/e-mail Skip or Dave at KDR, and see what they can tell you. I don't want to be the one that screwed up the explanation, and in turn, screwed up their business. They worked WAY too hard on my car for me to do that to them.
