Your car looks great! Congrats on the purchase. You really do get what you pay for.

One question, I read the original ad for the car, it stated that the rear spoiler was painted over. How well did they match the original paint? The reason I ask is because I know the paint will fade after a while and I hear it's impossible to match.

I have a yellow FD as well and need to paint a new front and wondering if there will be a difference.

Thanks

Anthony

Sure they can match the paint, a good paint shop can definitely do a 95-99% match, wich impossible to tell a difference with a bair eye, even without fading after a while, they just got to use good paint.

Thanks! yes, when I went to check out the car, Chris showed me the stock wing that was on the car. A tree branch fell on it and took a big chunk out of it. He sourced another R1 wing and got it painted. Even after inspecting the wing in all types of light, I can't tell any difference between it and the paint on the hatch, it looks totally factory.

However, like I said before, this car seems to have been garaged it's entire life. the quality of the paint is so good, that I doubt it spent a lot of time outside. If your car has spent more time outside, then fading could possibly be a problem for you. Find a good body shop and they should be able to match it for you.

And to those of you who are asking if I will mod it, we'll have to see. I have some ideas, but it will be a slow process no matter what. I'll make sure I don't do anything that I can't un-do later, and I'm definitely keeping every single stock part that i end up taking off the car

Thanks again guys, I can't believe this thread went to 4 pages
