jacobs ignition box
#2
Igniter wires in, coil wires out. I don't remember which color is which, but you cut the two wires that lead from the ignitor to the leading coil. The import part is to remember which four jacobs wires were paired together from your second gen, they will be the same for your 3rd gen.

You should have 4 wires that come from the Energy Pak [red, green, white, black]. You have to cut the wires that go to the leading coil and splice them back together with the ones from the energy pak in the following order.
Energy pak car
RED BLACK/RED from harness
GREEN YELLOW/BLUE from harness
WHITE BLACK/RED to coil
BLACK YELLOW/BLUE to coil
That all being said I would NOT hook your ENERGY PAK to the leading coil on your 3rd gen. I have one on mine and it has burned up 2 stock coils. I solved the problem by making a mount to hold a 2nd gen leading coil. Even if it fails you can get 2nd gen coils used for $15 to $25 compared $75 to $100 for 3rd gen's and if you do have to change it
it,s not under the throttle body aneymore and you can get to it no proplem.
