installing Blitz FMIC, Fluidyne radiator, aluminum AST. Can I ...
I am installing all these parts at the same time since they are all cooling related kinda. My question is I kinda wanted to switch to evans coolant. I know you have to flush your system and all, but since I am replacong all the old stuff could I just add Evans instead of having to flush the system? Also for those of you with the Blitz FMIC, do I have to buy a smaller battery, or would it help? I was thinking about the hawker but am not sure how to mount it ( suggestions )
Thanks

Yes you need a smaller battery or just relocate the stocker. I would Flush the entire system anyways since you have it all apart. Do you have an R1? If so then you will have a hard time fitting the Fluidyne and Blitz FMIC in the engine bay because that oil line is in the way of the fans. It was a bitch, but it fit in mine finally. I had to remove the crossmember that held the SMIC in place. It comes off with 4 bolts and makes life alot easier for install. Good Luck with the install.

YEs...you need to relocate or get the Hawker..
I've purchased the blitz FMIC and I am just waiting for my hawker battery to get here. I've heard that the AC lines will be a Biatch...MJW posted his results when installed his..do a search under Blitz FMIC..He has pics to show you also..I wish the best of luck putting those babies in!

The AC lines are a bitch but not impossible. Just don't break the lines while you bend them. I used a common battery for a Civic and it works fine. You don't have to pay bank for a special one unless you need all the CCA's and ****. Do you run a system in your car?

You know I've thought about the civic battery...so it does fit? No..I don't have a system..just my good o stock Bose. No need to add more weight. Thanks for the info Lane Change...Damn I've already ordered the hawker battery..but its only $69.95..a lil more than the civi battery but the hawker is a dry cell though.

Oh...here is the website from where I bought the battery from. www.Gotbatteries.com. It's cheaper than than the red Hawkers but works as well. If you want the red batteries than visit www.batterymart.com--they have it for $89.95 and plus you have to buy extra terminals at $12 for automotive usage.

So I have to buy the hawker battery with my FMIC? But did someone say the FMIC comes with brackets for it? Also I don't have an R1 so I dont need to worry about the oil line, any other tips for installing? Oh and I should still flush my system before running Evans?

Yes, the system must be completely flushed of water and ethylene glycol before you can use the Evans. Do a search, I believe you flush the system with the Sierra coolant to remove most of the water and old coolant from the system.
BTW, since you're changing the rad you have to flush the system anyway.
