Installed Block off Plates. Now High Idle.

I removed all the emissions stuff and installed BOPs today. Car has a high idle now. It's round 1500 RPM. It's usually around 800 RPM.
I checked for any loose vacuum hoses, but everything looked to be in order.
Is it normal to have a higher idle after installing BOPs?

Also removed my air pump too.

On another note, I noticed that I can hear my turbos more. The BOV seems to be a bit louder too.
I think the turbos are also spooling a bit better too.
Could be just me though.

Wasn't too hard. Took a lot of time though.
I took off the UIM, IC, Ypipe, and all that stuff I took off to replace with block off plates.
I did the non-seq mod a long time ago, so it might be more work for you.
The block off plates come with screws, but the parts you take off from the car are bolted on with nuts. You gotta take off the stuff and that was a pain in the *** for me.
Gotta get a vice grip for that ****.

Can you control the ECU ? If not you will be rich at idle with out the air pump . Adjust the air screw on the front lower right corner of the throttle body . You can also bock off the throttle stop screw on the side of the throttle body .

Make sure when you put everything back together the cruise control wire didn't get pulled out near the fender. That happened to me and some other people I know.

did you by chance bypass throttle body coolant? this is what my buddy just did...and we recieved a high idle. you have to lock up the fast idle cam. this is step 4 on

http://www.rx7turboturbo.com/robrobi...dy_coolant.htm

after we did that, we got a perfect idle!

i hope this is the problem.
