install fuel system, trouble @ startup.

Hi, just upgraded my fuel system to 1600 secondary with FPR and Supra Fuel pump. My tuner did a fantastic job tunning the car and now it is only running 65% max duty cycle @ 1.00 bar, and makes ~350 rwhp. However, I do notice whenever I start my car cold, it would takes much effort to start, the car will stall a few times and each time it will not hold idle and drop below 1K and choked. Eventually after about 5-10 mins of trying, the engine gets warmer and it will eventually holds the idle and will be perfect. Starting with the engine still warm is not an issue, but only when the engine is stone cold. Any comments? My FPR reads around 38 psi @ startup. Maybe cold start tuning w/ PFC??
THanks

Hi,

Im not a PFC guy, but I would say that your cold start enrichment is too much or to less (Think its too much.)

YOu might be able to solve it yourself by "playing" with the coldstart enrichment numbers somewhat.

The only way the 1600 inj install would affect idle is if the base fuel pressure has been changed due to the new fuel pressure regulator.

Did you-all measure your baseline fuel pressure before the install, and then set up the new FPR to be the same? I think your baseline pressure is way off!

SKIM41 is correct about the PFC having a cold start enrichment table that is commander adjustable. This can be used to help your cold start problem but not fix the real problem.

Thanks, I think the idle is fine once the car is warm, so I dont think that is the problem. My FPR reads 38 psi, and it is fine. Can anyone tells me how to adjust cold start enrichment with the commander? I dont think my tuner ever adjust the fuel enrichment when the car is completely cold. Thanks
