Talking injectors

i think im going to upgrade my fuel injectors when i get a power fc w/ commander , however anyone know a reliable place for 720cc primaries and 1600cc secondaries for my 95? i know the power fc can only handle something like 1500cc total output for secondary output but a tuner from a local shop has done it before on a prettywild rx7 near me. basically i want to buy the parts myself and just pay for the install if i cant figure it out. i know a decent amount underhood buuuut i havent gotten my hands dirty much and until i get a daily driver i dont want to make an ignorant mistake... basically until i decide how heavy i want to go underhood (boostwise) i pretty much want the biggest injectors i can get just in case ; )

p.s. - i got a 12 a motor for 20 bux any votes on whether or not i can make a go kart? the engine i think has more mud on the outside then parts inside and may prove to probably cost a bit to refurb (almost def. not gonna rebuild)... if i can get it started again, though it needs a carb first, anyone have any experience dremel porting a 12a?!?! hehe ok maybe not, but hey you nevr know.

yes i know bigger fuel pump...

Here are your options:

PRIMARY
1. Keep stock 550cc/min primaries (550+1600 is a lot of fuel after all)
2. Install stock 850cc/min secondaries in stock primary rail using extra o-rings or modifying the rail slightly to support proper sealing of the shorter secondary injectors
3. Replace the primary rail with a top-feed rail and injectors (vendor: http://kgparts.com)

SECONDARY
1. Have stock secondary side-feed injectors enlarged to 1200 or 1300 cc/min by RC Engineering
2. Install some "1600" (really 160lbs/hr ~= 1684 cc/min) top-feed injectors with aftermarket rail

Using aftermarket rails requires the removal of the ACV. Also, you often need/want to do a lot of new plumbing (SS braided lines, fittings) and run an aftermarket FPR, since the stock regulator is installed on the end of the stock secondary rail.

The PowerFC Commander only lets you set the secondary size up to 1500cc/min. However, you can set it higher (>=1684cc/min) if you get a Datalogit system. I highly recommend the Datalogit. It makes the Commander obsolete. There are other useful settings like the fan controls, etc. that the Datalogit gives you access to that the Commander does not.

I wrote a web page to calculate fuel system capacity (and help people learn about how fuel systems work, since you have to choose some numbers -- there are links and hints in the right margin). You may find it useful:

Note that having a fuel system that will support up to 1000 HP doesn't mean your engine will actually make 1000 HP. You just need a fuel system that supports the needs of your engine. A high-capacity fuel system itself will not make more power for you, unless you are upgrading from an inadequate fuel system (and can thus run more boost, etc.).
