Is this the infamous Y-pipe?

How in the world???
Out of curiousity I bought that coupler at Home Depot... again. Like I said, this one measures 3 7/16" ID, while the one at Lowes is 3 1/4" ID. These are the only rubber couplers that either store sells. I was going to put it on, like boostedtimmy, and use it until my factory part arrives. I'm sorry, but there is no way this will work. Can I ask you (boostedtimmy) how in the world you made it work? Here are some pics to see what I'm dealing with.

Yeah, this is what I'm talking about! I went down to a local place called Consolidated Truck Parts Inc and bought this 1 foot silicone 2.75" ID hose. Absolutely, truly perfect. Seems to be just as good as Hose Techniques stuff. It only cost $16 and I have enough to do some of the other couplers too. I also bought some 3" T-bolt clamps because those cheap worm-gear clamps break under heavy torque. I just thought I'd pass this along. Good day all.
