When you say, "took a crap" what does that mean? Did one of them break? ATF helps unstick a stuck seal which usually doesn't happen very often on the 3rd gen because the motor usually blows before you get to the milage where they will stick. ATF won't do anything to a broken seal.

the trick
you didn't really answer his question. nevermind the fact that 3rd gens might not make it to the point of having a stuck seal, the point is trying to fix it if that is the case. i purchased a 94 in august and now have 65k on it, 4 or 5 times i have gone out to start it and it idled rough from anywhere b/t 10 to 30 seconds...and i mean rough. after a while, it would smooth out and rev freely. mike wiggins at rx7heaven.com here in memphis swears by marvel mystery oil. it has worked for him as well as me. i could be wrong but the process is something like this: 1)clamp off the fuel hose 2)cut the fire to the ignition coils 3) remove the intake from the throttle body 4) find an old-timers oiler like the tin man's in "the wizard of oz", squirt some oil in there for it to go down the runners into the engine 5) spin the motor around a couple of times 6) pull the plugs and spin some more to clear out some of the oil 7) put new plugs in 8) reconnect power for the coils 9) have a friend turn the car over while you unclamp the fuel line and ration out fuel to get the car started 10) accept gratitude and many thanks from the neighborhood for mosquito control. this will smoke like **** forever but it should work. this is also the trick for starting the notorious flooded cars from not letting them fully warm up (leaking injectors) until they get the bleed off fix (check with mike or chris wiggins or brady freeman). best of luck, roy
