Idle drop on hard braking?
94-r2 - all stock with the exception of a SS down pipe. Car runs great, new LIM gasket-blew it, new exhaust gasket-why not with a new down pipe, new hoses-it is 12 years old, new belts-ground wire replaced-fixed that 3k accel problem. Low 36k miles - Not FS. One odd event recently appeared. On hard breaking to a stop or near the stop the idle drops near the end of the decel to about 5k. It comes up pretty quickly 3-4 seconds to normal idle. It does not stumble or buck or hunt idle it just slowly rises to normal. Hey maybe its normal with age and I am looking for perfection but Again with the AC on this does not happen - as the AC feeds the PCME data and I believe the braking system also feeds it data. Essentially it feels like a vac leak / drop. Engine was just smoked during its annual inspection with no standing idle vaccum issues noted. Have not seen a lot on master cylinder issues but perhaps with age this one is going. tHougts?

Could be a problem with the check valve on the master cylinder inlet:

Worth a check at least.
