I think my engine is blown!

so i was out last night in the rain drifting my car.........it was running beautifully. and i finesh up and start driving home and my engine is acting crazy and it ideals when i start it back and forth at 1000 to 1500. and the needle is just going crazy, my 4wheel abs light is on by now and when i get to a stop sign or red light my engine dies. so i start the car and drive off........going down a highway/street and my car is boggling around 3000 rpm's in every gear.... get home and my engine turns off and my exhaust is so hot........im hearing it sizzle water from the rain and the drops of water off my car. wake up the next morning and the problem is just getting worse. now if i dont hold the gas down(even in neutral) my engine turns off........ i dont know what to do.....i think my car has barly any or has NO oil...... or some how i blew the engine while drifting it. if anyone has had this happen please tell me what the hell is going on.....she has a brand new engine in her with about 7000 miles........

Well if it's low on oil you're probably screwed. How much oil does it have?
It could be electrical problem from the rain, but.....
time for compression test.

First all, check your oil. You said you "think" your car has "barely or any" oil.. Does it, or doesn't it?

Secondly, check all your vaccuum lines and electrical connections.

Check the Harness (mucho wires) that runs inside the driver-side fender liner (on top of the tire). If the Tire has been rubbing on the Liner ,..it will most likely rub through and damage the Harness and expose the wires which will probably cause an electrical short,..especially in the rain.

If this happens, your Engine will experience/act as if it's Blown!!

Good Luck and let us know what you find.

the rotary was just letting you know it thinks drifting is

Really though check the map sensor and the oil. The oil is important. Really important

I hope this was in a parking lot or on a closed road.

Anyway, check your brake fluid, if it is low, the light will come on when you change directions or slow down.

hahahahaok sry it has been a day or 2...maybe 3 but yes it was my map sensor and i thought about it right after i saw the 2nd post and went and pluged the damn thing back together.......but about the oil....my oil just ran out completely.....and i had no idea... a friend of mine just set there and told me my car was smoking and i look at my oil gauge and it droped to zero..... luckly i live a block from the house and drove the "7" home and put her in the garage. and i will change it first thing tomorrow morning.

by the way......i love this asking questions and people answering in a matter of 15 min. so here's another.....anyone have any idea why my check engine light and temp gauge keep turning off and on.....both of them go crazy. ive unpluged the battery and reset the electricals but still it likes to flash its self on and off to let me be worried about my car. my friend dave (who owns 5 rx-7's) thinks im just skitsafrinic about it and worry too much

There have been a few posts about oil getting into the crankcase ventilation system under hard cornering - plus, there was a later oil pan baffle design that helped this. My original pan was replaced under warrantee back in 1993 because of this.

Hope you didn't damage your engine - starving it for oil is potentially very bad.
