I think my dif. is junk!

I went to move my car yesterday and disaster struck. I put the car in gear, let out the clutch, and the car jumped a little and then I was in neutral. I don't think it's my tranny because I can put it in every gear, and none of them work. It stays in gear as well. The tranny doesn't sound rough really either.
Does anyone have any experience in this matter?
Thanks
Jim

My dif. isn't junk! I blew an axle seal on the way back from KD Rotary.
For future info purposes, i'll tell you the symptoms. I was in traffic, and lost all gears(including reverse). I could still put it in every gear, and it would stay there. I could rev. the motor, but i wouldn't go anywhere. There was no metalic sounds coming from my dif. or my transmission. The car also rolled freely. There was also thick strong smelling fluid on the dif., gas tank, and suspension parts. I looked under the car, and saw that one side of my axle, was wet and one wasn't.
Voila! There it is.
I hope this helps someone eventually.
