I need help from you guys!!!
What's going on guys? I'm looking at purchasing a 3rd gen a 93 in not so good of a shape and I need your opinions, I don't know much about Rx-7's but the fact that I love the car. I want to buy one to build from top to bottom JDM oriented and keep it with me. It needs a new driver side door a new radiator support both fenders a hood the head lights, front windshield and a new motor. it has a few dings an dents, and it has a sun roof. The title would be a reconstruct. The guy wants to sell it to me for 6300 but I don't know if its a fair price or am I getting robbed. Is it worth less? should I wait for another one? What do you guys suggest I do. Thanks for the info I appreciate it.

Fixing a wrecked car can be difficult: a minor job can turn into a bigger job, because it's difficult to accurately survey the damages at first glance. Aside from that, stuff just adds up: it's tough to find used parts for these cars, and new parts are somewhat expensive. If you haven't got experience doing restoration/salvage work, it will be cheaper to just buy a working car in the first place.

I would not pay more than $2,500. As you get into it you will find more and more and more crap wrong. Add in the fact that it doesn't have a clean title and the proposition gets even-more-increasingly-phallic-shaped-while-rapidly-advancing-towards-your-*** stupider.

You can buy a good condition (as in not missing half the body) FD roller for $5000. I saw one for sale yesterday. Like others have said, you can get a lot more for your $6300. Just keep looking, you'll eventually find the one you want. You just have to be patient. These cars are very rare and everyone's looking for a project. Good luck.

I'd suggest to wait for a much cleaner, better car. There are always people who try to push their engine in pursuit of magic HP figures, blow it and don't have the money to fix it. That is the way you can find a nice but, reasonably priced car.
Also, unless you have lot of $$$$, you better be prepared to do lot of the work yourself.
I never heard of "reconstruct" title, rather "salvage" title. Such a title will automatically descrease the value of your car, no matter how much money and work you put into it.
Good Luck in your search
