I am always amazed with all these ppl modding their car left and right and drive it 2 mi a month.

Is the exhaust still all stock? It's weird that someone would stick with stock exhaust on a moderately modified car. It should be one of the first few mods.

I would look into why the engine was rebuilt at such low mi. Is it being raced or maybe the mods were done incorrectly or in wrong order.

If it all checks out, it's probably somewhere around $23-25.

The right buyer would probably pay upwards of $30k if the car is sorted out properly. However finding that buyer could take forever. I'd agree with $25k for a fairly quick sale. Thats the way highly modded cars are, there's probably over $30k in mods on that car alone, but most buyers don't want exactly that so they're not going to pay extra for it. Looks like a really nice car though.

I cant see why it would be worth more that $1,000. In fact, you should sell it to me for that price immediately to make sure none of the hooligans on this board try to rip you off.

Nah, honsetly I think that about 25K is spot on for an estimate.

Thanks for the replies. I was just wondering whether to trade my corvette for this car. You guys dont think this car would be streeable? I mean I wouldnt be able to drive it on a daily basis? Ive got about 28K in my C5 and if I make the trade I need to be sure I can get that out of this car. As far as exhaust im sure its aftermarket, he said he left out alot. And I think the engine bay was purposly left red. I think it looks pretty good. Anyways any more input would be greatly appreciated.

how come it got an engine rebuild at 28,000 miles?

im pretty sure your c5 is more reliable, but im not sure. if the guy is around you, get to know the guy, get a few rides in the car see how it runs, get it checked over THOROUGHLY.

this car has been sold on this forum a couple times, it is supposed to be really clean and very well put together, and probably worth what he's charging if it's under 30k

and when people say not streetable, they mean it wont make much low end power and will be difficult to drive. all the power will be high revving and only under boost, but once it starts making it, it's going to be almost uncontrollable

How come the engine bay is red (I'm assuming it's original) and the body is white?

Well, from the looks of the house and the Vette, you certinaly got some cash to play around with. It'll probably need little things here and there that will add up quickly. I'd just keep the C5, esp since you already have that much $$$ dumped into that car.

What is the need for an aftermarket tach since the car came with one??? And still it sets right in front of the stock one!! I need to call The Rikki Hunter
Isn't that the WHITE one. Well that's another 15-20 hp to the wheels easy.

Hehehe...

Id say it is definantly worth 25k

Its got low miles, and tons of mods.

Question is, do you like the mods? I wouldnt chose at least half of those mods (because I would get different things) but if you love the car and what he as done to it, its is probably worth it.

Only you can answer whether or not it seems worth it, considering the car is far from stock

I don't particularly like it but that does not matter. I would go with everyone else and say that a reasonable price for that car is between $25k and $30k.

Ryan, I got to agree, the tach is definately worth calling out the rikki squad!

Trade a C5 for it?

Well, if it was me? Hell no I wouldn't trade a C5 for that. Granted it's a nice car, but wouldn't do it.

If you weren't looking to use it as a daily driver, then it might be ok, but as the others have said, I don't think that car will be very streetable. I would imagine that car would be a PITA in some stop-and-go traffic.

Your C5 has good power for the street.
Reliability should be higher in your Vette.
You'll have nice cold AC, emissions compliant, and better re-sale value.

"Streetable" is a subjective term.
You'll have higher idle, less torque on the low end, and most likely stinky exhaust. If you open up the exhaust, it'll be stinky and loud.

i probably wouldn't buy it...sell your c5, get a stock one, and fix it up the way you like it.

The car is a bit getto in my opinion. I like the low miles, clean title, and new engine, but it doesn't have that "cherry" look that I would expect for 25-30K. The engine bay looks like a piece mill, and not very well thought out (not that mine doesn't look piece milled). I'm sure it is a great car, but I agree that if you want an FD, sell the vette, buy a cheaper FD, and build it the way you want.
