Probably because the Sienna Gen2 is the best looking advan wheel ever, lol. In all seriousness there's a couple I like, but the Gen2 is definately a work of art. As for the pics, did you search, im sure someones posted a "check out my new advan X wheels" thread or 10.

Siena gen will aslo run you close to 3500 for wheels alone. IMHO thats to much money for a mesh wheel, when I can get a quality wheel thats is almost identical for 2000.

I spent some time searching like a week or two ago and didn't find much except some shitty pictures of the model 5.

And I like mesh wheels guys, but it seems like everybody and their mother has them...I want something I don't see so damn much. I'm at least a couple months away from buying rims but I'm on the prowl now to make sure I buy the right ones.

edit:

https://www.rx7club.com/sitemap/t-87008.html

according to that, all the advan wheels on there are cast. is that true? I only want forged rims.

Advans are gravity cast, but they are stronger and lighter than the majority of forged / semi-forged wheels on the market today.

Don't get caught up in the forged is better bullshit.

Yes, the black 5-spoke wheels are Davin SP1's

If you would like to learn about the different casting methods, Gary or Tom at Gruppe-S.com ( 510-783-5300 ) would be happy to assist you.

Good luck!
Brian

Right now I run Fiske Fm-10's which are around 1,000$ a wheel on the sizes I have. But Sienna Generations are not 3,500$ a set they are about 650$ a wheel. So basically 2600$ for the set. Personally I find they are the best looking wheels or all time and if I were getting a show wheel thats what it would be.

However, they are cast aluminium which bothers me greatly. So of course for the same price I would go for CCW SP20's. Which are forges aluminium and look very good aswell.

Wow.

That's super clean, and super sexy while using mostly OE parts, congradulations on an awesome car.

It's funny that you look down on cast wheels, but then say you would buy BBS' if you had the money.

BBS wheels are cast / rolled.

Why on the LM do I see 3 peice Aluminium ForgedÉ I could always be wrong but thats what I saw. Hell if you tell me that the Sienna Gen's are stronger than CCW's and could hold more than their own with street driving then hell Ima start saving.

Not being ignorant just always willing to learn more.

Alright alright the silver is with the Sienna's and the red is my car.

I am still lost with this whole thing. My question is are Advans stronger than my Fikse's and are they stronger than CCW's????

IIRC - The LM has a forged disc / center, but the donut is rolled. BBS actually has their own technique. Off hand I do not remember what it's called.

At the end of the day it comes down to quality control. Asking if wheel (a) is stronger than wheel (b) is counterproductive at best.

The Fikse's look amazing.
