howd they manage to crush the nipple like that? Could have been poor packing by wherever you got those turbos from

Its brand new rebuild from BNR.
I think they packit well, but by the time the package got here. Looks like they had play football with it...

The actuator bracket even got bent...

In the future, don't accept beat up packages, without first looking at their contents. It's also a good idea to have expensive items, such as turbos, insured for their full, new cost. That way, when you get a jackass that pulls some crap like this, you can get brand new turbos. *Bling*

See it bent even from this distance.
Look at the box in the back.

These stuff shipped by Fedex, packed by Mail Box Etc.

All I can say is that FedEx needs to pull their head out of their *** and get their Ground division of their company up to speed.. regular air FedEx is great, but I have had at least 4 incidents with FedEx ground in the last year. FedEx ground just plain sucks in my book, UPS is much better for the cheaper ground shipping IMO.

No way UPS is better.
All of this shipping company has problem.
Or they have problem with me. Any shipping from Alabama is always smashed up...

Look at this box when another guy from Alabama shipped my PowerFC. We are talking about delicate materials here...

Don't blame Fed Ex, blame whoever packaged it. Because obviously, it wasn't packed well enough.

I can give you all firsthand knowledge about the shipping companies; I worked for UPS for about 3 years through college reloading "feeders" (UPS term for their 18 wheelers) Anyway, when a deadline comes near they will do anything to get those packages from the delivery trucks down the conveyor belts to the trailers which often includes rough handling of items and improper packing of the trailers (i.e. heavy items on top of lighter items) IMO there is no one carrier that is better than the other, but where the difference comes is in good packaging. Some people may not view it as an important aspect of selling parts via this forum or others, but I would package my sale myself and make sure it’s properly protected. Yes, the packing material the turbos were shipped in is in horrid shape, but if the turbos were properly packaged you would not have had a problem...

Just my .02 cents

I've received tons of parts through UPS/Fedex (all the mods on my R1 have occurred since I bought it) and haven't really had any issues. I guess I've been lucky...

Damn reza, you don't have very good luck, do you? That UPS package is hilarious! I can't believe how beat up that thing is!

It would take A LOT of force to do that kind of damage to your actuator nipple. Maybe the people packing it dropped it? Thats what it looks like to me. I would think the box would be ripped if the turbos were damaged that bad after being packed.

My friend did a winter break as a 'temp helper' or something for a local UPS place. He said that they had so many packages that they would throw them like frisbees until they hit the back of the truck. Didn't care at ALL what was in them.

EVERY time I ship UPS, they break something! No matter how fvcking well I package it. No matter how much I insure it for! Honest to all ****, I think they try to break my stuff. They rummage through all the other packages to find my package and play truck soccer with it. My worst experience was when I was shipping my Bierkrug (1L Oktoberfest beer container that a bartender gave me while I was in Germany) and I placed in a box with styrofaom popcorn, and then placed that box into another box with styrofoam popcorn. When I got the package I took out the Bierkrug and the handle had broken off. I figured that I could just superglue it back on, but when I looked in the bottom of the box, ALL I FOUND WAS SAND!!!

Reza Im very sorry about the pakages you are recieving. Maybe its just the long trip from AL to Cali??? Who knows. I can tell you one thing, brian works very hard at his work. I have been to his shop and seen his work and its very, very impressive. From my exsperience with shipping, ALLWAYZ GET INSURANCE, not matter what. sorry reza

OH...NO.. I am not blaming Bryan...
He is all good.
The packager is Mail Box Etc.
The shipper is Fedex.
Its going from Alabama to California.
I think what happened is, the truck goes coast to coast. so my box kinda in the bottom of the truck, And who knows how many times they load unload the truck.

Any info how to get Fedex be responsible...

Again... 93RedFD...I am not blaming Bryan.
I have alot of respect to the guy. He did a very good job, and good customer service. I would recommend him to anyone needing turbo rebuilds.
I am not questioning Bryan at all.

Its the shipping companies, e.g. Fedex/UPS. I think its not wise to ship turbo with Ground Shipment, because of the weights involved, and with that kind of weights, its not suppose to be thrown around.

i worked as a sorter for FedEx for a whole day....that was more than long enough to see how they treat the packages. For starters, the trucks were unloaded by seriously throwing the packages on the belts. Then the sorters either just knock the package off to keep it close to them or actually do take it to the trucks. Needless to say, i try to order locally....even if i do have to pay tax.
