The hunt has ended! (pics)
Red 93 R1
-95,000 miles
-Reman'd Mazda engine just installed (8.x psi on each rotor face)
-Given a clean bill of health from Ricky's Rotary
I'm stooooooooooooooooooked. I've been looking for a car for about 2 months now. I've checked out about 15 cars, but there was always something that I didn't like.
I was really hoping to get the R1. I absolutely love the interior!
Now I need to find me some parts.

Hi Guys:
Thanks for the nice words.
Yeah, I meant 8 bar in every rotor. Lowest one was 8.2. Highest was 8.4. Front was something like 8.2, 8.3, 8.3. Rear was 8.3, 8.3, 8.4.
The car is stock except for some tokicos, additional grounding in the engine bay, J&S Safeguard (got one of these on my Honda), and an alarm.
Reliability mods...here I come!

whoa, is that the stock color or is that color because of the camara. it looks much pinker yet darker then a normal VR. in any case, nice car congradulations on a nice fine as well as being able to wait for it

Eats, Sleeps, Dreams Rotary
yeah, two months is nothing...I was a year before I bought one but my search criteria was a little more specific. Silver R2. Looks like you got a good one...Looks nice and clean....Any mods? if not, be prepared to be broke off your *** for a while trying to keep up with the Jones'.. Once you start reading this forum and realize the things that are available you will want everything. I know I did...2 years now and I am still wanting everything...Very nice find though. good to see there are some clean ones left floating around.

Anyway, to "Sonny": Congrats on the buy! See you've done your homework if you've looked at 15 different cars before settling on this one. Must be a gem! Enjoy!

haha that was like the exact opposite of me...I drove 7 hours to go see mine. When i got there I was so pissed because the car looked like a piece of crap...I was like "definitely not buying this hunk of junk" I had never driven one though so when i went for the test drive I was absolutely floored. I had never driven a car that felt anything like that. So I basically could not resist buying it and now have absolutely obscene amounts of money into it. Its finally where it needs to be though. It was only the 2nd one I looked at and the first was a hail storm car that I didn't even drive after seeing it.

Nice, it resembles mine in a way. A clean VR is the best looking third gen, IMO.
