The "hows your idle" thread.

I have notice too that I wil get a higher vacuum reading (like 010mmHG, meaning more negative) when the water temp is in the 84-90C range. But when it is up in the 99 c range it is a touch lower.
Does anyone else see this?
(PFC) Another thing I notice is when the car switches to the E/L idle, the timing changes (I have idle set at the same RPM for E/L as no load) and I am able to see more vacuum.
Does anybody notce this?
Cold mornig with idle being the same, vacuum is much higher too.
Just some of my observations.

One thing that I've noticed is that my idle vacuum is directly correlated with the idle speed. At the 1100 rpm, the vacuum bobs between 17-19 in/hg vacuum. When the idle drops, the vacuum does too. Around 16 in/hg at 1000 rpm, 15 in/hg around 750 rpm, and finally 12 in/hg when the idle settles sub 500 rpm. BTW, the idle doesn't hunt at all, there's a definite high and a definite low, which randomly seems to occur. BTW, this is on a car with 104+k miles on it's original engine.

This was a great thread, we need to bring it back and keep it going.
