how to recharge air condition?

I did a search for this and i couldnt find anything


is it possible to recharge your AC at home without any special tools?

im almost positive you have to take it somewhere...
and for us 93'ers...it costs one HELL of a lot more to do from what i hear.
have to have someone double check on this...but 94+ changed something and its easier to do

FYI

I have a 1994 r2 and it needed r12 freon. I ordered it off of ebay along with a hose and tap.

i was trying to search for "AC" earlier, but AC is too short or something

the real issue is that r12 (old) compressor oil which is mineral oil, will not work with r134 (new). they have diff cooling charateristics but a flush and new oil with 134 after you fix the leak will do
