Was almost 17.
Also recieved it bone stock in Sept 96 with 50 dealer miles.
Its a 95 PEP Chaste white Auto.
Still have the girl and she's only got 50K on it
but far from bone stock many years and $$$ later, but well worth it.

Wow almost 80% of you FD owners are under 30.
I was 20 when i got mine in April of 2007 for cheap from auction almost done with bodywork, preparing to take it to the paint shop and its going to be on a road soon.
Also up to day I have never drove an RX-7 in my life before. don't even know how i end-up getting it. But i like it so is almost all of my friends.

So this thread does indeed back up the theory that the FD is getting into the hands of younger drivers nowadays.
I know a few people that have had their FD longer than I have - waiting on them to post if they are even on here still.
Gene, the car's looking great btw.

I was 16 when i bought my first one in august of 2003. I saved up 8000 from working since i was 14 and got a loan for 4k from the bank. It was fully paid off when i sold it, and i now have an m3(which is for sale if anyone is interested ) so i can build an ls1 fd

I had been 24 for a month when I got mine last fall -- it was supposed to be my birthday present to myself. Paid for it in full -- after lots of savings, living thrifty, etc.
A couple months later I paid for a rebuild and street port, too. I'm sure after break in is done, there will be lots more money into it, too.

Got mine a little over a year ago I think. I was 17 and had been searching for the right one for 3 years. Decided I had to have one at 15. Had my dad pay for it in whole so we avoided paying interest. The interest we would have paid was slightly reduced and pasted on to me, I have to pay my dad back in monthly payments with some interest. Either way, I'm one of the few people I know that has one of my dream cars already. Actually the only people I know that already have their dream car are all rotary owners.
