Question HOW MUCH Boost can Stock Turbos Handle?

What the highest psi they can handle? Also what's a good safe level to run them at other than 6 psi?

Ummm, 6 psi???? The stock level is 10. From all the whispers I've heard, 14.7 psi is the common consenses on the maximum efficiency of the stock turbos.

15 psi is about the mechanical limit of the stock twins. I have seen some run as high as 16-17 psi but I beleive that is self defeating.

14.7 is the max of the stock fuel system and ecu. After that you lean out and pop! I am not too sure what they are capable of. Someone said they got above 20 but don't hold me to who said that.

I think max efficiency is at around 10-12psi and maximum bost possible is 15-16 psi for the stock no ported turbos - with porting and open exhaust they should go to 18+ psi - the amount of boost it is safe to run is more dependant on you IC, Fuel system, and ECU capabilities - The stock ECU will fuel cut at around 12.5psi
