How many FDs left

Does anyone know how many FDs are still on the road or track? I know the last # I saw was around 6,000.

Lets start counting. Put me down for 1.

Is there any way to know for sure? 6000 sounds like a good guess for street driven cars when you take the ~15000 sold in the US and subtract out the cars that became race only cars and the wrecked cars. An average of 30 left per state? I could believe that number.

Cam at Pettit said it was more like ~3000 still registered. Of course, most of them are concentrated in states like CA, FL, and TX

like a year ago there was an actual website that told you the exact number of FDs out on the road. They seperated them by year. They even had a list of FD VIN #s that where salvaged. I remember coming across it when I was trying to decipher my vin #. I tried again to search for it, but no luck. I'll keep ya posted if I find anything.

Wow!

I guess we better take care of what we've got!

I plan on putting a "collectible" tag on mine in 2018.

That is very sad. I'm making sure to keep mine forever, they will be rare someday (more rare than they are now, if thas is imaginable.)

2 in Alaska

Alaska throws off the curve a little, besides mine there's only one other that is driven regularly, I haven't seen the other two or three FD's for several years now. There was a nice silver with 9k miles but that was just sold and shipped to NJ
