Question how long would it take for a pro to

around how long do you think it would take a professional to install a FMIC that requires bumper cutting and 2 secondary fuel injectors and a secondary fuel rail?

I would say a pro could do it in under 10 hours.

4-6 hours for the intercooler.
3-5 hours for the fuel setup.

I think it would take any one of us about 2 days.

secondaries are fairly easy. Only took me around an hour. I would say the primaries are what would take 3-5hrs. FMIC, I have no clue, but I wouldn't imagine it taking over a day.

You do realize that the installation of 1600cc injectors will require removal of all emissions equipment? Hope you have a smog hook-up.

You will also need a larger fuel pump, inline resistors, and tuning on your PFC.

damn, 4 hrs for an intercooler? I think I had mine done in 2 hrs WITH custom making my 20B TB elbow.

If memory serves me correctly, I did my ENTIRE fuel system(dual walboro's, all steel braided line, -6 AN, FPR, taping primary rail...) in about 5 hrs. When I went to my Cosmo setup, I made the rail in less than an hour. The rail MOUNT is what took me 2 days to make...couldn't get the right angle on it.

Not on the emissions it won't. Everything I have read about bigger secondary injectors requires removing the EGR, because there isn't room of the bigger rail.

Do you mean the ACV? I thought the EGR was on the otherside?

Incorrect. Bored-out side-feed injectors (up to 1300cc) fit right into the stock secondary rail. Emissions are not affected (other than tuning for the larger injectors).

Moving up to the Bosch top-feed 1600cc injectors requires an aftermarket secondary fuel rail, which requires removal of the ACV (not the EGR).

Sad to say, but I think my Karma rubbed off on you(the bad stuff though :P ) Remember how I kept bitching about having to rebuild engine's over and over?

I think I'm going to break the 6 month mark with flying colors!

It's all good! Haha! At least the bad luck will make me better at rebuilding these things. That's a big money saver if you break them all the time!

yeah it depends
I installed an apexi fmic and made all my own mounting brackets in about 4 hours. If so if I was doing my 4th one or actually had good tools id say about 2 hours to get that in.
