UIM

There are bolts but just be careful when unplugging the lines and connections underneath.

It's not too difficult but doing it for the first time can take a 1/2 day. There are lots of hoses and stuff under it. You may decide to replace much of the vac hoses under it. Careful not to break it. Clean up the throttle body and the inside of UIM and LIM w/ some carb cleaner while you are at it.

djantlive: 1/2 day?? To remove the upper manifold? Are you including polishing the intake?

I was surpised how easy it was to remove. I think it took me about 30 to 45 minutes the first time I did it. I've only had it off twice, and the second time it took me about 15 minutes. I think the hardest part are the three plugs in the back. And there's few hard-to-reach hoses, but nothing too difficult.

... Man, this server too busy crap is getting ridiculous!

It isnt that hard but the first time you might struggle a little. Make sure you take care of the gasket... just as soon as you get the manifold loose put it somewhere that way it wont get damaged. If you ever plan to work on your own car you might want to get some practice at this.

Oh yeah the Server too busy crap needs to stop

I donno, it took me 1/2 day to get to the air intake thermo sensor bc I kept on trying to take the sensor off by turning it the wrong way. (stupid me) Yeah, I suppose it should be a lot shorter. Maybe an hr or two for 1st timer.

Yeah, I just had it in me that it has to turn the wrong way. I never really got the manifold completely off, just raised enuf so I can get to the sensor.
