Cool

House was clear (no mortgage), sudden inheritance, paid $29,150 cash for a new '94 Touring in Sept. '94. Gift to my wife, who had been driving my '67 Datsun roadster.

I'm 24 and work for the Sheriff's Dept. here. I also go to school at Delgado in N.O. which is 50mi. away which I drive to in my eclipse. The 7's been in the shop getting the mods listed below for the last 1 1/2 yrs. so I think thats how I've been able to afford everything because I drive my 30+ mpg Eclipse instead of my 10-12 mpg FD

well the summer of 03 i had found that a friend of the family was selling his show 93 touring single turbo rx7. i had money saved but still had to borrow a pretty penny. bought that one for 15,000 at the age of 18. then in december i totaled it, sorry i know i know, but i still have it and its a clean title.

in january of 04 found another 93 base model in MA. bought it for 6,000 2 of my friends and i swapped all the parts from the wrecked one over painted it and now i have a better Rx than before.

in the last 8 months ive spent alittle over 29 thousand dollars on the 2 cars, paint, parts, tuning, and maintenance. yes im still 19 but i am a drafter designer so i have/make the money.

anyone can buy anything they'd like its just dependent on how bad you want it.

and no, after the first accident i do not drive my FD daily anymore. i only drive it on beautiful sunny days. it never see's rain because of the last RX. im in need of a POS car but insurance is kind of holding me back.

bought my 7 in AZ for 17k with 36k miles a year ago and blew motor in 6 months/14k miles. now rebuild's costing me 5k with rebuit turbo's and has bc forged rims, intake, downpipe, intake, exhaust, pfc, intercooler, teins, and mp3 player. plus i bought a twin turbo supra motor, tranny, act clutch, lightweight flywheel and b&m short shifter for 7k because i was going to do the supra7 swap but now i dotn wanna do it so if anyone wants a supra drivetrain let me know its for sale still. oh yea im a 19 year old college boy at SDSU and if I told you what my job is I would have to kill you......lol j/k

I'm 23, paid $14,000 cash for my 95 FD, that includes $3500 on a stereo/alarm. Since then spent a few more hundred on maintainence and with still more reliability mods to go. Insurance on it is half what I pay for my '01 Chev Cav daily driver, hehehe. I can tell it's gonna be an expensive car to maintain, but SO worth it for such a beautiful work of art.

I've got some work for you. Are you willing to work long hours? Do I get a quantity discount?

Got a loan at the time to pay for mine but will never let a car payment dictate my life: as in I can go on vacation, change jobs, race whenever I want, fix whatever gets broken, go buy new suits etc. Plenty of people buy these cars but then they end up with their nuts tied to them I love cars and enjoy my FD, but don't let any car payment dictate your life.

<Sarcasm mode>
I'm 107 with 5 adult kids, 4 grandkids, and 14 greatgrandkids living at home with me and my wife and my dogs and hamsters. I make my money from standup comedy, mostly about my RX7 which takes more to finance than all of the above.</Sarcasm mode>

How do I really pay for it?????------- the same way everyone pays for them, with money diverted from some other project we should be completing or bill we should be paying.

Quick Reply: how do you pay for your FD??
