Ebay.

I took a huge gamble. I emailed the guy asking general questions about the engine. He didn't know much. The car looked great(especially the interior) and it was exactly what I wanted. A 94 red touring all original with only 65K miles. I had no intentions of even buying the car since I hadn't secured a loan yet. I decided to keep track of the auction to see what it would sell for.

On the last day I rushed home from work on my lunch break to see the closing. The bids were at $12,500 with 3 minuets left. I was like what the hell, I'll bid at the last second. My max bid was 13k. At close I was suprised to be the high bidder but didn't reach the reserve price. I thought ohh well. Would have been nice to finally own one.

Then I couldn't help but to ask the seller what he would take for the car so I emailed me. He told me he wanted $13,500. And gave me first dibs on the auction since I was the high bidder. I was like ohhhhhh ****! I didn't know what to do. This was my chance to finally get my dream car. I replied an told him I'll take it (not even realizing that I still needed to get a loan). Good thing I had good credit and a good job.

That weekend I flew one way to Houston with check in hand. The guy was waiting for me in the parking lot. I will never forget the feeling I had when I first saw the car come around the corner. My heart dropped and I was in love. Everything looked perfect. I was like **** yes thats the one. He let me drive to a local hotel to check over the car and let me sign the papers. I could tell the guy was having second thoughts. In my mind I was like Hell Naw, I'm driving this bitch home. I gave him the check and took off like a bat out of hell. This bitch is mine now!

When I got home I did fine one small problem. After hooking up a boost gauge, I found that the secondary turbo wasn't kicking in properly. I was like **** thats what I get for rushing into things. After furthure investigation I found that the coupler from the y-pipe was loose. After tighting I had the perfect boost pattern.

That was 2 years ago and now I have 90,888 miles on the clock and the car still runs perfect with original everything.

T-von, the guy I bought it from didn't wanna part w/ the car either. He was going back home to Brazil, and apparently there are importation restrictions on used cars...only new cars can be imported? (or at least that's what he told me). I just remember the longing sad look I caught in his eyes as I was having the car checked out and going over some final things...

Autotrader.com.au

Came through a car dealer. I wasn't really looking for an FD. I'd always wanted one so when I decided to cruise down and have a look see, I was sold.

Apparently the guy who traded it in took out a series 8, the lucky bastard.

ebay. I just sent the guy a message telling him to call me. He called me and we worked out a price at 13,500. Me and my friend drove down to ohio with his tahoe and a car trailer and bought it with about 61,000mi, that was about a year and half ago and the car got 69,000 mile on it now and everything works perfect. The only broken stuff is from me like me need a new front fender besides that the car is flawless. when i left the house with the car on the trailor i think the guys wife was crying. The guy i bought it from was a sheriff and was a huge asian dude with a hill billy accent and was a very nice guy.

I actually looked at 3 Rx7's before I found mine at Autotrader.com late last year. I got it through a dealership and I think I got it for around $9500 before tax, title and license fee. A little over 51K miles, and was completely stock when I got it.

My mama found mine by accident in a New Orleans classifieds. I drove all the way down there just to look at it. I paid $8500 total. Brand new engine. Needed painting though.

I drove to Chicago to test drive a few fatty Supras. After being more than unimpressed with their handling, one dealership said they had an RX7 I might be interested in. Test drove it and took it home that night
