Hood Install

Found this hood from a used car parts shop. Took me 20 mins to take off the old one and bolt on this one. As it turns out it sits a little too high on the drivers side. Reluctantly I guess I'll have to install some hood pins to help keep it down a little. Does any one have any good info regarding drilling through carbon fiber etc? I dont want to crack it up.

had the same problem with the same side... which is passenger uspec..although...
it was an adjustment issue... loosen the passenger side and see what happens...
ive had to widen one of the bolt holes on the hood bracket a bit to compensate for the difference

I cant quite tell how high it is raised but when I had a similar problem I put a couple of washers between the fender and body to even them up.
